When Paityn reached out to book a Mother’s Day session for her mom, Jerica, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. My first thought was, “What a thoughtful gift.”

But then she told me she was bringing a framed photo of her late grandmother, Jerica’s mom, as a surprise, and I’m not going to lie... I got so emotional!

What a beautiful way to honor the women who shaped us and remind us that love continues long after someone is gone.

I absolutely loved photographing these beautiful girls, who I’ve had the honor of knowing through our dance family. Sessions like this are such a reminder that photographs become so much more than pictures over time. They become connections to the people and memories we never want to forget.

Last Wednesday I had the absolute honor of photographing at the Celebrity Dinner hosted by the .

I was already a fan (because honestly… who isn’t?!), but meeting him and his beautiful wife and hearing him speak made me admire him even more.

Not only is he an absolute football legend, but also one of the kindest and most down-to-earth people I’ve had the chance to meet. Him and his wife made the entire room feel comfortable and connected. The kind of people who instantly make everyone feel like lifelong friends.

Moments like this make me so grateful to do what I love. One of the unexpected perks of this job is getting to meet some of the coolest, most inspiring people along the way.

Celebrating 10 deserved all the color, confetti, balloons, and FUN at the studio!

One thing I love about these milestone sessions is that they allow kids to fully embrace who they are at this exact age… loud, playful, confident, silly, colorful, full of personality and joy. No pressure to pose perfectly, just space for them to have fun and be themselves.

And honestly? That’s where the magic always happens!

I already know these are the kinds of photos her family will look back on someday and instantly remember exactly who she was in this season of life.

The more I grow as a photographer, the more I fall in love with simplicity.

Lately I’ve been completely obsessed with clean, minimal studio sessions — no distractions, no overly complicated setups, just timeless imagery and the people at the center of it all.

“What if my baby doesn’t cooperate?”

But the truth is… babies don’t need to perform perfectly for beautiful images to happen.

Some laugh the entire time.
Some need a little extra comfort.
Some want nothing to do with the cake at first 😅

And honestly? That’s all part of the story.
