This beautiful scene unfolded before our eyes and ILSE Wildlife has created special moments she felt drawn to put to canvas, and beautifully I say!

A new rhino painting!!
“Rhino duo in golden light “
Framed: 37” x 27”
In June 2024 we were privileged to go on a wonderful photographic safari with Armand Grobler of Rhulani safaris. We shared this great adventure with dear friends Leroy & Connie Barry & Ron & Cathy Uthus.
One day in Manyeleti sitting at a waterhole close to the Buffelshoek camp- two white rhino came strolling out of the bush. The red oxpeckers were busily flying around with quite a few hitching a ride on these two huge bodies while grooming their hosts.
The early morning light was so beautiful & I instantly knew this sighting should be eternalized on canvas.

Enjoy!!

Ghost in the darkness? The thought crossed my mind as I lay in my bed at Maneyleti Game Reserve, jolted awake by the sound of lions calling.

With the cover of darkness comes a whole new perspective on predators, including this young spotted hyena. Once the sun goes down, the sounds change and the adrenaline amps up.

Play Initiated

I have been incredibly lucky with the highly endangered African Wild Dogs also known as Painted Wolves, having seen them everytime I have visited South Africa.

I shot this image with a Canon 6D well known for its ability to handle low light and high ISO’s at F/4.5, 1/800s, ISO 2500

With the Sunset quickly fading, we chose to stay with our sighting of the Timbavati male leopard. Catching fleeting glimpses as he sauntered through the bush, occasionally stopping, as if posing for us. These are the shared, unforgettable moments in time and memories we all share with our dear friends, Cathy, Ilse, Ron, Abraham, LeRoy, Bixon and Armand.
