This feels long overdue. I’ve had so many requests over the years for full-body portraits, but I struggled to find a way to photograph them that still felt classic, timeless, and true to my work.

Ive spent the past several months putting in the time to dive in and figure it out… and I have completely fallen in love with this new set. The style... the mood... portraits that really feel made for your walls. You don’t need a million photos of your child, you need one that stops you every time you walk by it.
I’ll be offering these for the first time as a Spring Portrait Event in late March 🌿
More details coming soon and spots will be limited.

Santa sessions are open for November 9th, and I have a few spots left!

This year’s set is light and classic with a touch of Santa magic — and we’ll have the same REAL Santa back again. These sessions are always such a sweet way to kick off the holiday season.

The happiest babies!! 🥹😍 Bring me all the 1 year olds!!!

Also, for my local families, if you’ve been trying to book a spot but I haven’t had any dates available, I’m thinking a mini session day this summer might be just the thing. These 10-minute heirloom portraits will run more like my traveling events, with discounted sittings at my event price and still include 4 final portraits. Quick and fun... and allows me to photograph more families and not have to turn anyone away! I'll post some more details and date options in the next week!

I have a confession… 😬

Don’t hate me for this…but I’m not actually from the South. I know, I know—with a name like Southern Heirloom Portraits, you’d probably assume otherwise! But the truth is, I didn’t grow up here.

Somehow, though, I always felt like I belonged. Even as a kid, I was singing about cotton fields and back roads—meanwhile, I had never even seen a Waffle House in real life🙃

Now, every day, I get to be part of a beautiful Southern tradition—creating heirloom portraits that will be passed down for generations.... and there isn't a day that passes that I don't feel so lucky and honored to be able to do that!

Thank you to everyone who lets me do what I love—I wouldn’t get to live this dream without you!

Heirloom Portrait Misconception 👇

People often think "heirloom" portraits have to be stiff and serious—or that the process is a calm and quiet one, with children sitting perfectly still.

However...If you’ve ever been to one of my events or been in the studio with me, you know that’s not how it goes.

We don’t just sit and take pictures. It’s busy. It’s a little wild. There’s movement, giggles, maybe even some wrestling (think wrangling cats 🤪) But in between all of that? That’s where the authenticity lives.

But my job isn’t just to document the chaos—it’s to shape it into fine art, creating a portrait that’s both authentic and beautiful.

Clean. Refined. Timeless. A portrait that feels as real as your child is in this moment—worthy of your walls forever.

I truly love what I get to do. Playing with your sweet kiddos and making beautiful portraits in between all of that.

To be honest, I rarely have to "pose" kids to get magical photos, but I do focus on creating a space where they feel safe, connected, and free to be themselves! I truly believe that's where the real magic happens! 🤍
