Please call David Colby Young if you would like to view the Maine Running collection. The Running Archives is under stored in the basement in the safe & we will have to bring it in the 3rd floor for viewing. 207-786-2129

Whether you’re racing for a PR, running your first 5-miler, or just want to spend Labor Day morning on the road with us, we’d love to have you at the starting line. The race features 16 different divisions, and awards for the top two finishers in each category.

This race starts @ 12 noon & runs until the last man is standing
WE can not say you will be there to cover this event but Allyn Genest often is there & take photos & video.
The events states: Our event kicks off at 12:00 PM on Saturday September 5th. Racers will have 1 hour to complete the 4.2 mile loop. If you return in under an hour you are eligible to line up for the start of the next lap at 1:00 PM. You must be at the start line when the race director counts down the start of the next lap. This format will continue and laps will start at the top of each hour until only one participant is able to complete a lap. If all remaining participants fail to complete the lap in under 1 hour, the event is over and we will not have a winner.

It is sometimes difficult to pick the winners.
We did not go to SMAA Relays but others did & we reported on the event with te help of other reporters..
We did go to the Fairgrounds & reported
Laliberte Event ~we went & reported.
So I am not sure what all this means. Perhaps there was a lot of interest in the SMAA Relays but I think that will pass as people who are following the Fairgrounds event as showing up hot!
