The older I get, the more I realize these sessions aren’t really about senior pictures.

They’re about capturing someone exactly as they are before life changes. Before graduation. Before college. Before careers, new cities, and everything that comes after high school.

I look back at my own daughter’s senior photos now, and I can’t believe how much has changed since then. There are moments I’d love to go back to—the days when she was still at home, when life felt a little simpler, and I had no idea how quickly those years would pass.

But I also get to watch her build a life she loves. To see her become confident, independent, and exactly who she’s meant to be. As much as I miss the little moments, I wouldn’t trade the woman she’s become.

I think that’s why senior sessions mean so much. They’re not just about creating beautiful images. They’re about preserving a season that, one day, you’ll wish you could step back into for just a moment.

What feels ordinary today will someday become the memories you treasure most. 🤍
