South Station has always been one of my favorite spots in Boston. Years ago, I used to travel there by bus from Pittsfield, then switch over to the subway to reach my destination. One of my favorite parts of being there was that no one knew me. I felt like I could breathe, and be anyone I wanted to be.

However, after finding myself since then and learning to love who I am as an individual, I now want everyone there to know both me and my photography.😊 Perhaps this photo will be the start of that!

I was on my way home from Boston, and it was raining heavily on and off. I had just heard about Ashley Reservoir that morning from an online group. I was tired and wanted to get home, but something was pushing me to go check it out. After a short walk on a trail in the woods, I came out to this beautiful tree enclosed space where the majority of the paths are surrounded by water. I thought I was in a dream! The sun kept coming out for brief moments from behind the clouds and then would disappear again.

Another person was nearby taking photos with her phone. I had been tracking the sun and yelled out that the photos would be better in about 5 minutes when the sun came out from behind the clouds again. It was raining lightly at that time and she suggested that we might see a rainbow. I waited patiently and then saw it start to form! She had turned around to take photos of some lily pads, so I yelled out with excitement, "RAINBOW!!!" Then I started taking photos and captured the one you see here. 😊
