What’s up Focal Point Family. Man, it has been a WEEK. Let me tell you.
But guess what, we’re capping it off with something super fun and we hope you’ll join us. Our friends over at Everything Blaine Likes are turning 2! If you haven’t been in yet, their shop might even be cooler than Focal Point. Game consoles, VHS tapes, records, every toy you wished you owned as a kid, and so much more.
They invited us to do a pop up at their anniversary party this Saturday, so we’re matching their vibe and bringing all the fun retro film and digital goodies. Think Camp Snap, Instax, Kodak Charmeras, disposables, film, the works. I’ll be at our table with my family from about noon to 4.
They’ve also got a food truck, live rock shows ALL day (6 bands!), and a bunch more going on.
So if you’re free Saturday and want to show some love to Focal Point and our friends, come on out. Park behind our shop on Rainbow St, come say hi at Focal Point, then take the short walk down to Blaine’s. And it would mean the world to us if you bought a toy, a record, or something awesome from our EBL friends while you’re there.

This week only we’re opening our pop up gallery wall! Come be a part of our exclusive event! Email a picture to [email protected] or text it to us at 503-623-6300. We’ll print it off and add it to our wall so we have more than plywood to look at this week until we get our drive-thru window replaced. Whether it’s a recent landscape or wildlife shot, or just a selfie with your camera we’d love to put it on display! We’ll keep posting updates as it evolves. 🫡

Hey guys, just checking in. Not gonna lie, the last couple days were pretty rough. It’s hard seeing a good chunk of the inventory you’ve spent years building up gone in minutes.
Things are still early, but the insurance process has been straightforward so far, and the Dallas PD is working hard on the case. Not much more we can do besides open up the shop tomorrow and get back to doing what we do best, minus a few cameras and a drive-thru window.
We’re in good spirits around here, and it should be back to business as usual in a few weeks.
Also, I have to say, the absolute outpouring of support these last couple days has really made us feel like we’re not going through this alone. Hundreds of comments and shares, people texting and calling. This is exactly why we do what we do, to support photographers in Oregon, because it all comes back around. Thank you so much for letting us do the job we love. We can’t wait to see you again soon and come back even stronger.
