WILLOW BEND, 2026

This one sits somewhere between two sides of my creative life.

Photo Pit Dreams has increasingly become a way for me to document culture and the spaces that hold it. LIMINAL is rooted in music, but the name has always resonated with that state between what was and what comes next.

The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano is living in exactly that space now.

I spent the afternoon exploring Willow Bend with my wife, Dr. Liz Warren, and fellow photographer Mandy Duncan, documenting the mall before redevelopment changes it permanently.

Shopping malls were built for commerce, but became something larger: places to work, wander, eat, meet friends, kill time, and grow up.

I wasn’t trying to create a technical record of the building. I photographed the feeling of being there, walking through a place that was still alive while already becoming a memory.

Storefronts have been stripped while their fixtures remain. Cosmetics counters sit without products or customers. Behind an unlocked door, remnants of Claire’s sit almost frozen after the store moved out. Blackout film conceals enormous vacant spaces, peeling away in places just enough to see inside.

A former retail space has found another life as a practice room for a community theater company. People and businesses remain while other parts of the mall disappear behind gates and blacked-out windows.

These photographs preserve that transition and the physical traces left behind as a particular kind of American social space changes into whatever comes next.

Some places vanish long before the buildings come down.

Summer Beat Down | July 25, 2026

DNB Sessions took over the Main Room at Green Light Social for an afternoon of face-to-face Drum & Bass, with the crowd surrounding the decks and right in the action.

Every pairing brought its own style, and each face-to-face matchup got an introduction worthy of a title fight. From 634 & Jambii kicking things off to DJ Titan & Deft FX closing it down, ten selectors stepped up and brought their own sound to the session.

Four years of bass.

Congratulations to the Repercussions crew on four years of building a home for Drum & Bass in North Texas. Month after month they’ve continued to grow the scene, support artists from across Texas, and keep the music accessible with no cover.

A huge thank you to Charlie’s Star Lounge for their unwavering support of the local scene. Having a venue that believes in the music month after month makes nights like this possible.

Big thanks to Shari|Fresh and Squake for bringing the heat, and to everyone who came out to celebrate another milestone with the Repercussions family.

Here are twenty moments from the night.

Still digging through the archive and realized I never shared these.

Set The Tone always brings it. Every show is packed with energy, the crowd feeds right back into it, and somehow they still manage to be some of the nicest people you’ll meet. They’re one of those bands that’s just plain fun to photograph.

These are from their May 3, 2026 show at Three Links in Deep Ellum.

Thanks for letting me document another great night. Looking forward to the next one.

Another proper night at Charlie’s Star Lounge!

Big thanks to Sour D and Onket for making the trip up from Houston and delivering a stacked night of Drum & Bass.

Great tunes, great people, and another reminder of why the scene needs proper documentation!

Big ups to the junglists that came out and held it down for the HTX takeover, and MASSIVE thanks to Corey and Fun for the unwavering hospitality!

Degs at Repercussions.
Pure UK DNA through the Green Elephant system. Live vocals over the tunes, proper junglist pressure, and enough low end under that stage to shake the whole room.

Originally scheduled for 4:30–6PM and casually turned it into a nearly 4.5 hour session because he was genuinely vibing with the Dallas crowd. That kind of thing says a lot about a person. No ego, no rushing out the door. Just hanging with locals, talking music, and feeding the room.

Huge thank you to Degs for the music, the energy, and the love shown to the Dallas scene. Also massive respect to the entire Repercussions crew for continuing to build space for drum & bass culture in North Texas. 🖤

A few next-day selects for now. More photos from the session coming soon.

Pretty surreal seeing several of my images published in the May/June 2026 issue of as part of their feature on .

As a member of The Rook who’s also been brought in to photograph a number of events there, it was a genuine surprise seeing shots of Stoney LaRue, Kevin Fowler, and Jason & Christina Burress end up in print.

One line from the article that really stuck with me described The Rook as “a different kind of victory, one measured not in verdicts but in the gravelly, acoustic chords of a performer and the shared pulse of a community.” Honestly, that feels pretty accurate once you’ve spent time there.

Grateful to have had the chance to help document some of those moments along the way. Seeing your work go from Lightroom catalogs to actual magazine pages is still a wild feeling.

Korax @ Repercussions
May Session
Part 1 of 2

Korax rolled through Repercussions and delivered a proper neurofunk workout from start to finish, with MC Astro riding shotgun on the mic all night.

Deep pressure, surgical blends, and that relentless forward momentum that keeps a room locked in for hours. May’s session was stacked wall to wall with energy from the jump.

DFW came ready for this one.
