I’ve wanted to close my photography business for the last 6 months now… but the idea of publicity closing and saying no to future opportunities was SO scary.
As I’ve sat down the last few weeks and really drilled into what I want to accomplish in 2022– The overwhelming realization I keep having is that I need to do less.
I want to create space in my life for growth & focus in other areas. I really want to channel my energy into my Etsy shop & starting a podcast. As a family, David and I have been working really hard to create a simpler, minimalist life. As we’ve sifted through the physical things in our lives, I’ve become more aware of how closely the physical mirrors the spiritual— and desire to declutter all areas of my life has increased.
So this year, I’m saying goodbye to photography. Besides the births already scheduled in the next few months, I won’t be taking any more shoots. (Unless it’s a birth— then I might reconsider because my WHOLE HEART is in birth photography💕).
I have absolutely loved taking pictures of your sweet families. I have learned so much about photography and it has blessed me in so many areas of my life 💕
I am hoping that by closing one aspect of my life, I’m able to be more present, more available, and better serve those around me.
