1 of 3 | I’m just scratching the surface organizing the images from this trip so here’s a lake from Colorado. We’ve been moving fast to see everything we wanted to see and while we’ve seen it did we get to enjoy it? I think both Stu and I agree that we’d like to slow our trips down a little more. That doesn’t mean we don’t do anything, in fact, the opposite. We want to do more in these places instead of constantly driving to the next place.

We’ve definitely covered a lot of ground, but when you drive as much as we do you get tired, irritated, and you end up with an unhealthy drive-through meal instead of preparing delicious food at camp. I find myself not shooting something I normally would or even worse, shooting it, but not as well as I know I could. I get a little lazy. Not pulling out the tripod to do a long exposure that I know would look better than the images I shot hand held. It happens. I wanted to get so much more work accomplished this trip than I did, but here we are.

I have, however, seen great friends, beautiful landscapes, and had an amazing time with Stu. It’s been a great trip so far and instead of being bummed about work I haven’t accomplished, I’m going to set small daily goals of what or how to shoot. I find small goals help me master the bigger goal otherwise the bigger goal just gets overwhelming.

Hold me to it 👍🏻

I obviously haven’t edited anything from our current road trip so here’s a big favorite from the last trip through Colorado and Wyoming. It’s been a minute, I know, but let’s get back at it.

Here’s to summer sunsets and staying out late. It’s so close I can taste it. ✌🏻🥃 🌅

I don’t have anything witty or poetic to say here. I love horses and when I saw how these two beauties were positioned it made me smile. It’s intimate, friendly, caring, and there’s something about seeing them this way that made me feel really good. I felt special being able to share in their moment.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For all I know they don’t like each other 🙅🏻‍♀️, but I doubt it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1 of 2 | This is one of my favorite photos from 2020. Keep your 👀 on the feed for part II. I’ve already sold two prints of this and I would love to see someone buy this in a large size. It’d be so beautiful!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is from where I remember driving through the North end of the park, passing some bison, and seeing this scene on my right. My face was glued to it and as we drove by Stu said, “Do you want to stop?” I don’t remember if I smiled, shook my head up and down, said yes or a combination of the three, but he pulled over and I sprinted out of the car towards the river and steam vents. A few cars pulled over thinking I saw wildlife. Photogs were on the other side of the street shooting a lone bison and I’m all, “AIR!!! WATER!!! STEEAAAAMMMM!!!” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anyway, I had to disappoint a few people when I said there was no wildlife. For the life of them they had no idea why I sprinted over or why I was so excited. But that’s the great thing about photography, we all see different things. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My print shop is linked in my bio if you’re interested in purchasing a print 🖼. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1 of 2 | This guy is pretty great 😊. 🤞🏻 Stu and I finally get to see each other in July after 10 months apart. Covid has not been kind to long distance relationships, but we’re going to have a solid 4 weeks together and I know he’s super excited to be my assistant during some test shoots in Colorado! 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is back from our last trip in the Rockies setting up camp with our rooftop tent and annex. I tell you what, that annex is a god send for changing, eating, pretty much anything when it gets cold! I think it’s going to be pretty useful in Alaska 🥶.
