Some sessions almost don’t happen.

After what felt like weeks of nonstop storms and multiple weather checks an hour, we woke up at 4am today to thunder literally shaking the house and rain absolutely POURING outside. Safe to say… our hearts sank a little. 😅

But we checked the radar (again), packed the gear, grabbed the coffee, crossed every finger and headed toward Fort Worth anyway hoping the skies would give us a tiny window. And somehow, they did.

The soft clouds. The slow morning light. Trinity Park completely quiet. The dreamy greens from all the recent rain. It honestly felt like the universe decided to show off just for Riddhi & Rishabh.

These two were effortlessly sweet together from the second we started. No forcing. No over-posing. Just laughter, forehead touches, little glances and the kind of calm chemistry that makes our documentary-loving hearts very happy.

We wrapped their session at the Kimbell Art Museum and I’m still not over how perfectly the architecture, soft colors and movement came together. Fort Worth engagement sessions in stormy spring weather may officially have our heart now.

If this is how their engagement session felt, we already KNOW their multi-day South Asian wedding at Hillside Estate next March is going to be unreal. Counting down until we get to celebrate alongside the incredible team at .

An engagement session.
A farewell tour.
A love letter to Dallas.

Alex & Josh are closing one chapter and starting another in the most iconic way possible. Before their move to New Jersey and wedding in Italy next month, they wanted photos that felt unmistakably Dallas.

The skyline. The bridges. The golden light. The places that shaped their story here. Honestly, I think this session delivered on that vision perfectly.

We can’t wait to keep documenting their story as we follow these two overseas for the next chapter. ✨

“Wow… that’s a lot of time together.”

— pretty much everyone when they hear we work together, homeschool, and rock climb as a family (same hobbies, different skill sets 😅)

And they’re not wrong. But this…this is intentional.

We built a life where we don’t miss the little things.
Where we actually get to be there for it.

The in-between moments.
The chaos.
The laughter.

The same reason our couples care more about being present on their wedding day.

Mr. & Mrs. Lissain ✨

———

Day one with Jen & Azeem looked a little like this…

Quiet, intentional moments getting ready.
Hands steady, hearts already racing.
Color everywhere. Texture everywhere. Meaning in every single detail.

And then… it opened up.

Laughter. Music. Movement.
People showing up fully, loudly, joyfully for these two.

Rain tried to interrupt.
No one cared.

Because when the energy is this real… nothing gets in the way.

Jen & Azeem have this way about them.
Grounded. Present. Completely locked into each other.
And surrounded by people who love them just as deeply as they love each other.

You can feel it in every frame.

Being trusted with multi-day, multi-cultural celebrations like this isn’t something we take lightly.
These aren’t just events. These are legacies, traditions, stories that have been carried and are now being continued in a whole new way.

And getting to document it as it unfolds?
Yeah… that’s the good stuff.

Day one was everything.
Day two…coming soon.

DFW NACE always shows up—but yesterday felt especially good.

A full room, people actually talking to each other (not just exchanging business cards), and a space that was designed with intention from the second you walked in.

This is the part of the industry I love most. Not just beautiful setups, but the people behind them. The collaboration. The relationships that keep this whole thing moving forward.

And selfishly…these rooms, the ones filled with my friends, colleagues and teammates, are some of my favorite to photograph. So much movement, so many real moments, and just enough chaos to make it interesting. 🤣

See you at the next one!

A Catholic wedding has a way of grounding everything.
It pulls you into the moment.
The quiet. The tradition. The meaning behind it all.

Nicole & Zach’s McKinney wedding held that kind of presence from the very beginning and then turned into pure celebration the second they walked out those doors.

One of our favorite parts of watching Nicole & Zach’s wedding unfold, was seeing how seamlessly they wove their personalities, cultures, and traditions into every piece of it.

From Nicole’s family’s Polish wedding tradition of tossing pennies as they exited the church, to LED light-up cowboy hats on the dance floor, all the way through ending the night with their favorite food trucks—it all felt intentional, personal, and fully them.

And watching them laugh their way through it, surrounded by their people, felt like the most honest kind of joy.

If you’re planning a Catholic wedding in McKinney and want your traditions honored and your day to feel like yours—not a template—we’re already in your corner. 🫶

Victoria & Brian are the kind of couple who don’t need a lot of direction…just a good playlist, a walk downtown, and maybe a slice of pizza to share 🍕

TCU alums, baseball lovers, theater people (read: they commit to a bit), and fully in their element wandering through Fort Worth together. Every corner turned into a moment. Every laugh turned into something we didn’t have to force.

This is exactly why we love engagement sessions. Not for the poses. Not for the “perfect” locations.
But for this….figuring out how you naturally move together, what makes you light up, and how your story actually feels in real life.

Downtown Fort Worth showed up, but honestly, they made it what it was.

Spring weddings in Texas just hit different.

The air warms up, the light softens, and suddenly everything feels a little more alive. Flowers start showing off. Guests linger outside a little longer. And couples finally get that perfect golden hour glow without melting in the Texas heat.

We love spring weddings because they tend to feel relaxed in the best way. Windows open. Champagne flowing. A little breeze through the veil. That kind of energy where everyone is just happy to be there.

And from a photography standpoint… the colors are unreal this time of year. Soft pastels, fresh greens, bold florals, sunlight that sticks around long enough for those slow, unhurried portraits before the dance floor kicks off.

If you’re planning a spring wedding in Dallas, Fort Worth, or anywhere in North Texas, this season is one of our favorites to photograph. It has that perfect mix of elegance and “let’s have a damn good time.”
