Revisiting a Milestone: 2011 Brooklyn Bridge Photoshoot. I captured these images on this day in 2011, with the primary objective of compiling a portfolio for Sam, the model, Polar, the stylist, and myself. Polar's vision to utilize the Brooklyn Bridge's surroundings as a backdrop proved to be an inspired choice. Collaboratively, we directed the mood and aesthetic of the shoot. Reflecting on these photographs today, I am filled with a profound sense of accomplishment. They have remained a cornerstone of my portfolio since their initial editing in 2011, and re-examining them with fresh eyes has been a rewarding experience. In hindsight, I wouldn't alter a thing. The equipment used that day was minimalist, comprising a Canon 5D, a 24mm-105mm lens, and a reflector. The primary challenge was navigating the intense sunlight, which created deep, sharp shadows that naturally appeared blue in the photographs. I chose to emphasize this effect during the retouching process, accentuating the background with blue tones. Although I don't recall submitting these images to any publications at the time, I have consistently appreciated their value. 📸
