The lungs empty out. The world goes silent. And for exactly three seconds, you forget there’s an audience watching.
Proposals are high-adrenaline moments. There are no “do-overs.” You can’t ask for a second take on a reaction like this.
That’s the difference between holding a camera and knowing how to anticipate human behavior. After 20 years and hundreds of couples, I don’t just watch for the knee to hit the ground. I’m waiting for the gasp. The hand over the mouth. The split-second realization that life just changed.
