We all gotta start somewhere! 💪

Recently, someone told me I took down his armor after participating in my BETA group for the release of “The EG Life” study I have coming out at the end of June.

He added that although he isn’t ready to be “homies” with Jesus just this second, he is more curious and open than ever before to see “who this Jesus character is.”

📌 Curiosity is the first step. Babies are great models of this. Who am I? Am I welcomed here? Will I be held when I cry and fed when I’m hungry? They get their answers by looking to mom and dad.

We get our answers the same way... and they continue to come well into adulthood as we willingly look to our spiritual mom and dad for answers to those questions.

Mary loves to intercede on our behalf and lead us to Jesus. Jesus loves to reveal Himself to us and the truth of who we are and the level to which He will go to meet our needs.

💃 So for those who need to hear this today - we all gotta start somewhere. None of us come into this world understanding this place, knowing exactly who we are, and how to walk, talk, and achieve our dreams.

That gets revealed to us over time as we search for the answer. Let today be the day you look to the source of all things true, good, and beautiful for your answer. 🌸

SO many graduations happening this time of year. It’s hard not to think of my own kids being there someday, graduating 8th grade, high school, and beyond.

I want so much for them, but if I had to choose just one thing, it’s for them to have a personal relationship with Jesus.

That’s where true joy, peace, and strength come from.

That’s where knowing you’re never alone comes from.

To all of the parents closing a chapter with your children this time of year, I see you and have goosebumps right now just thinking about all the emotions that come with it. ❤️

This Sparkle Luncheon put on by .at.peace is one of the most meaningful events I have had the honor of photographing.

Looking at the picture of this sweet toddler got me thinking about my eight year old daughter and a moment we shared last week when she found me upstairs after a search that felt much too long.

“Mom, where were you?!” she demanded as tears streamed down her face. “I thought I was the only one home!” she continued.

At this point all I could do is open my arms and hold her while her body calmed as she realized I was in the house all along.

And while I held her, I couldn’t help but think about how I see myself in her, and possibly you as well.

My daughter is confident, brave, and not afraid to be alone. But a complete 180 happened the moment she thought that she was alone in the house without me.

Life can feel so much like that. So often when fear and anxiety creep in, it’s when we start to feel abandoned and to think it’s all on us to figure out or that there is terrible news awaiting.

One of the darkest moments of my life happened when my oncologist thought my cancer had returned and I felt God was ditching me.

There it is —> feeling utterly and completely alone. The feeling that leads to despair, hopeless, and crippling fear.

Any time I have done something brave, it has stemmed from believing that there is Something greater than me that has my back. It comes from a belief that I’m not home alone in my own body.

What a gift faith is! ❤️🙌🔥

If you feel like God is distant today, share your desire with Him to feel His presence and ask Him to reveal Himself to you, today, in ways that you understand. Then open yourself up to receiving it. It can be fun, I promise! 🥰

Because in His presence, Everything Is Grace, baby, I promise. 🌷
