This Hair is Golden. ✨
These photos are inspired by Black hair and work as an appreciation to Black people getting their hair done and the intentions behind it. Getting your hair done is a soft reset for what is to come whether for a celebration, school, or just the start of a new month or week. It is a ritualistic experience that is sacred and empowering; from quick weaves to braids to loc retwists, to sitting in the chair for 3hrs or 12hrs, to “sleeping pretty” when it is all done or popping off at the office the next day. The planning, the process, and results are all part of the culture of Black hair.
Huge shoutout and thanks to the team that came through for the shoot and rocking with my vision! 🫶🏾✨
