I had the opportunity to shoot this interesting story for Texas Monthly magazine. It was about the largest data center in North America, Stargate, and the people in Abilene, TX that it is effecting.

I love shooting stories like this. We were in Abilene for a couple days shooting. I had some direction from Texas Monthly, but had a lot of freedom to just roam and find things that interesting me and thought would be good for the story. I wasn’t able to actually get into the Stargate premises, so we had to get creative with that. It also helped having a drone.

I’ve shot for Texas Monthly for over a decade and always love getting interesting stories like this to shoot.

It was such a pleasure shooting the Dallas Mavs for the 2025/26 season! Even though we had about 3 minutes to get two different lighting looks for each player, I think we nailed it. I LOVE how the shots turned out!

They’ve used the photos for billboards, posters, in game graphics and more.

I wanted the lighting to be a little on the moody side for this one. I lit the background to have a warm color gradient, so the dark blue jerseys stand out. I had my key light warm as well, but had a cool blue as my fill to add some contrast and interest. It was a fun shoot.

I shot this really interesting story about a ranch in Wichita, TX that is fighting for their land. The county want to build a huge reservoir that would split this couples 12,000 acre ranch in half and make much of it unusable.
