Dallas Man Arrested After Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Seizure in Delta County

DELTA COUNTY, Texas โ€” A Dallas man was arrested early Wednesday morning after a traffic stop in Delta County allegedly led to the discovery of THC products, suspected methamphetamine residue, and ma*****na, according to an arrest affidavit.

Tim Victor Garces, 30, was taken into custody on June 17, 2026, following a traffic stop on Highway 24 near County Road 2031.

According to authorities, a Delta County deputy was conducting radar enforcement at approximately 2:52 a.m. when a white Volkswagen Jetta was observed traveling 94 mph in a 75 mph zone. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Garces.

The affidavit states that Garces appeared nervous during the encounter and allegedly granted verbal consent for deputies to search the vehicle.

During the search, investigators reported finding a black lunch box in the trunk containing multiple v**e cartridges and a v**e device with substances believed to be THC. Deputies also allegedly discovered several baggies containing crystal-like residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, as well as items of drug paraphernalia and small amounts of suspected ma*****na.

Garces was transported to the Hopkins County Jail and booked on the following charges:

Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams (Third-Degree Felony)

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor)

Speeding More Than 10% Over the Posted Speed Limit (Class C Misdemeanor)

All charges are allegations, and Garces is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

๐Ÿ’™ International Police Day ๐Ÿ’™

Today, the Dallas Police Department is hosting International Police Day in Dallas, bringing the community together to recognize the men and women who proudly wear the badge and serve with courage, honor, and dedication.

As we walk through the event and see the poster boards displaying the faces of fallen officers, we are reminded that behind every badge is a hero who made the ultimate sacrifice. These brave men and women gave their lives protecting our communities, ensuring the safety of others, and answering a call greater than themselves.

International Police Day is not only a time to celebrate law enforcement, but also a time to remember those who never made it home. The faces displayed on those boards represent lives of service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment. Their courage will never be forgotten, and their legacy continues to live on through the officers who carry on their mission today.

Thank you to the Dallas Police Department and all law enforcement officers who stand watch over our communities each day. We honor the fallen, support those who continue to serve, and keep their families in our hearts.

Gone, but never forgotten. Their sacrifice will always be remembered. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ–ค

Dallas Man Arrested on Driving While License Invalid Charge in Hopkins County

HOPKINS COUNTY, Texas โ€” A Dallas man was arrested during an early morning traffic stop on Interstate 30 in Hopkins County after deputies determined he was operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license.

According to arrest records, a Hopkins County Sheriff's Office deputy initiated a traffic stop on a white Buick Encore traveling eastbound on Interstate 30 near Exit 116 shortly after 3:20 a.m. on June 11.

The stop was conducted after the deputy observed the vehicle with an activated emergency signal, reportedly indicating a possible equipment issue. During the investigation, authorities made contact with the driver and conducted a records check through law enforcement databases.

Officials stated the driver's Texas driving privileges were invalid and that he had previous convictions related to driving while license invalid. As a result, he was taken into custody and transported to the Hopkins County Jail.

The suspect, Lance Dayone Douglas, 42, of Dallas, was charged with Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction, a misdemeanor offense.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

McKinney Man Arrested on Public Intoxication Charge Following Late-Night Incident at Sulphur Springs Convenience Store

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas โ€” A McKinney man was arrested early Tuesday after police responded to a report of a vehicle that had been parked at a gas pump for an extended period at a Sulphur Springs convenience store.

According to law enforcement records, officers were dispatched shortly after midnight on June 9 to check on the welfare of an individual inside a vehicle that had remained stationary at the fuel pumps.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with 40-year-old John Jordan Tubb of McKinney. During the investigation, police reported observing signs of possible intoxication. Authorities stated that Tubb appeared unsteady on his feet and was allegedly using the gas pump for balance while standing outside the vehicle.

Officers also reported detecting the odor of an alcoholic beverage and observing an open container of alcohol nearby. Based on their observations, police determined that Tubb was allegedly intoxicated in a public place and posed a potential danger to himself or others because of his access to a vehicle.

Tubb was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hopkins County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of public intoxication.

The charge is an allegation only, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
