My photography style is to use natural light as much as possible, and I’m always looking for the angles to give me the best impact in that respect. It was very cool, then, to get these shots when I REALLY had to look hard to find some! Taken up in Highland, NC, towards the end of last year, I’m really pleased with how they turned out

Golden Hour shoots are always my favorite; you do need an element of luck, because it’s not always perfect... BUT, if you do your homework around the locations, keep an eye on the weather and sunset times and find yourself lucky enough to work with someone as fantastic as Kaitlyn was here, then magic happens! I absolutely adore this set, I hope you do, too.

I really enjoy Engagement Shoots. It’s always fun to be around a couple that are clearly excited and in love, with so much to look forward to and that was very much the case with Katie and Frank when we spent a little time together at Piedmont Park in Atlanta last weekend. The weather wasn’t kind to us, it was very overcast but we managed to squeeze a little light in at the end and as always here in GA, the Fall colors were beautiful! I hope you enjoy this little taste of a really lovely couple ❤️

Well hello, I know it’s been a while! This year has been quiet due to Covid and having to deal with lots of things back in England, but I’m back and raring to go! I have just finished this beautiful newborn shoot for little Liam and what a pleasure it was; total cuteness overload, I’m sure you will agree! It was a lot of fun and goes to show that newborn shoots don’t have to be staged in a studio when you have everything you need on location; I’ll definitely be doing more of this in the future. Hey there everyone, I hope you’ve all been doing okay in these crazy times! We’ve certainly been through and continue to go through a lot and I just hope we eventually come out the other side into a better, more compassionate world. Obviously it’s been quiet this year, social distancing doesn’t lend itself to photography sessions but as we start to slowly open back up, I hope to be able to share things with you again soon; in the meantime, I just wanted to share this really cool little video of something Brittany sent me of one of my images from her wedding last year. They’ve used a 3D printer to create this and I think it’s awesome, definitely something to think about for all you soon to be newlyweds out there ❤️

If a photographer tells you that weddings don’t give them ‘The Fear’, they’re lying! When you have the responsibility of capturing the best moments of someone’s Most Important Day, you have to put aside all the nerves and be absolutely on top of everything that’s going on. There’s so much happening, so much out of your control that it would be easy to get distracted or overwhelmed, so putting in the effort to get to know your client, doing the venue research and asking the right questions in the months leading up to the big day are as important to me as the day itself. Nikki and Thilee were a joy to be around and I loved everything about this late-December wedding. The whole group were such fun and so willing to humor all my suggestions that we managed to get a ton of great pictures for them to look back on. None of what I do would be possible if my clients weren’t willing to throw themselves into the shoots and I’m very lucky in that respect! Enjoy ❤️

What’s that thing about never working with kids or animals....? Well whoever said that hadn’t met Kensie! An absolute joy to work with, full of personality and a complete natural in front of the camera. This was only a short shoot but such was her vibrance we got a TONNE of great pictures. I’d love to show you them all, but here’s a little sample. Happy Sunday, everyone!

I absolutely love Fall shoots! The colors, the light... the cooler temperature is also nicer to work in, I have to say! These are just a handful of a family shoot with the lovely Phillip, Christina and Charlotte, who ended up kinda steeling the show. I mean, those eyes ❤️
