Taking a look back at the St. Louis Riots last september

This is a collection of photos taken while on assignment for Ruptly, and "The Root". A unique experience does not give these events proper justice.

A high tension situation due to the release of an officer years after he had shot and killed an African American.

This specific assignment helped me realize the dangers of freelance journalism, as journalists were attacked by both sides. Not many people get mugged and detained (despite Press Credentials) in the matter of three days. Cross it off the old bucket list
