I am so fortunate to live in the woods among wild critters. This juvenile barred owl was perched in a tree at the edge of my yard, and stared at me long enough for me to get a few images. I edited the photograph to give it the feel of an oil painting. I hope you like it. (Please click for full view.)

I am excited that this surreal nature image of reflected mangrove shrubs received an Honorable Mention award at the Tarpon Art Guild "Water" exhibit in Tarpon Springs, Florida. The award is especially meaningful because the competition included paintings and other mediums. (Please click for full view.)
