Hey y’all! Today I decided to be all artsy and try to update my photos. And since it’s been a while let me fully introduce myself. I’m Brittany Goodyear and I am a photographer. I love doing family photos- playing games and capturing silly moments. I have two girls and have been married for 19 years next month. 😮 My love language is food and I love most geeky or nerdy things- Marvel, Star Wars, Doctor Who, or Disney specifically. I’m back! It’s been a while since I updated things and just played around. Burnout is a real thing. But I’m back and want to explore and have fun and be creative again. School just started here so we decided to have a fun friends photo shoot right to end the summer. These girls are so much fun and hilarious. And I’m so glad Bug found such a great BFF who is not just willing to dress up and do photos with her, but is kind to The Bear and hangs out with her too. Teenagers are wild! But so much fun! Hopefully they’ll continue to let me join in and take photos where I can. 😉

Large families are some of my favorites to play with. You can do the best games and have the most fun! And you get some of the sweetest photos as well.

At one point I asked the boys to look at their favorite person and instead of their dad they pointed to me. Glad to see the 8(ish) years of taking their photos is paying off. 😆

Maria Staley is one of the best people I've ever met! I have known her for a few years now and I am so grateful she is my friend! She is one of those that will say "let me know if you need anything" and you feel comfortable asking her because you know she will help and she never makes you feel like a bother. Her family is much of the same! Always helpful, respectful, and so much fun! Not to mention their Halloween costumes are legendary! I'm having a hard time narrowing down their photos because I'm just in love with all of them. It makes me very grateful to call her my friend.

I actually really love teenagers and spending time with them. And I love taking photos of them when they're about to graduate high school! It's such a big moment and there's so many feelings! Lots of excitement and what's next combined with anxiety and fear. But these kids have everything under control. I'm definitely not scared for them. (Just remind me of that when it comes time for my own to graduate! 😳)

My little sister had a baby! Bug and I flew into Idaho this weekend to celebrate with .rodarte and her gorgeous boy. Lots and lots of cuddles and love this weekend. Hopefully she’s moving back to the south soon so more baby cuddles can be had. Especially for The Bug.

Seriously, as parents how often do we get all dressed up fancy and get pictures of just the two of you? I’m not talking about a selfie. Or giving the phone to your 10 year old who may be super skilled in cell phone photography but is still shooting from an unflattering angle because they’re that much shorter than you. I’m talking (to you moms especially) putting on that dress that makes you feel sexy and getting the high heels out of the closet to go dance in a field with the love of your life. And getting that love in a photo that you can treasure and look back on when days are frustrating.

For the month of February I’ll be offering Valentines Day minis. $50 for 20 minutes. 10 digital photos and any prints from the shoot will 25% off the regular price. Message me for more details.

I love taking photos of families as they come in for the holidays! It's always so much fun to see personalities and dynamics and the love everybody has for each other. I hope everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving today! I am definitely thankful for everyone who has supported me in so many ways!
