Bella Hull, CyWoods High School

Bella is sandwiched between two brothers and walks the fine line between girly-dainty and strong-fierce. Arriving on location her easy smile and contagious laughter made our time together seem like a reunion of best friends, when we really had just met like five minutes ago!

Probably a kindred spirit as she loves books and reading almost as much as I do, although she was much more versed in Greek mythology than I.

Bella was a varsity wrestler all four years of high school and is now in her freshman year at Texas State studying health sciences.

Capturing Bella for her high school senior photos was a pure delight! I love working with this age to help them tell their story!

You know a mama’s heart clenches when she reads those words, right? Like, “How the heck did we get here…. At this milestone in warp speed?”

I agree.

Out of all the milestones; Kindergarten, Middle school, High school, College was the one that got me. It still does. Maybe it’s because for me, maybe for most, when you left for college you never lived back at home again. This may not be true of recent generations but it was in mine.

Dennis’s sweet mama, Ms. Amanda reached out to me many years ago, when her oldest, Madeline was graduating high school. We did a family shoot as well as Madeline’s Senior shoot. This meeting was the start of a beautiful, very real friendship that has lasted over the years. She is one of my favorite people to be around and just talk about life, raising kids and being a strong women in today’s society.

Dennis…. What can I say? Look at that smile! His personality lights up a room and he has incredible athletic talent- kicker for the CyFair High School team! I loved working with Denise because he not only wanted to provide his sweet mama with some great images, he was also ready to strut his stuff and have some cool pictures that he felt good about- that confidence was not arrogance but extremely humble and attractive!

Dennis has a brother Seth, who was also present and will be featured in his own post because although these two are as close as two brothers can be, they deserve their own spotlights!

Rivera Family Cypress, Texas Fall 2023. Mrs. Natalie, like most of us busy mamas had every intention of doing yearly photo shoots the minute her children were born. Is this not all the notion we share as soon as we lay eyes on those precious babies of ours?

Yep, hand raised.

Then comes life. The everyday of living, loving and the constant jiggle of what needs to be, wait…. What absolutely has to be done and somehow what we really want done is a little tougher at times.

Until you get to a point where you decide that no matter what, skin knees, delayed clothing orders, husband’s travel, you are going to schedule that photo shoot and get it done this year.

Natalie Rivera did it! All while juggling three daughters dance, gymnastics and softball schedules, doing charity work, amongst all those everyday life things.

Let’s give her a big round of applause because we know, all to well how good it feels to finally get those pictures printed, in frames, and on the walls!!!!!!

p.s. This crew was Hil-arious! Like we tried very hard to even get a straight faced picture. Ella Grace was in full on giggles mode and as her mama says, pirate smile! Julia is not only the oldest but so full of grace and such a help! Olivia is your classic middle child where she is trying to just keep everyone in peace and harmony but when she is done she is done!

Mrs. Shelley Riley called upon me many years ago when her boys were much younger to come out to their ranch in Indigo Lakes and take their family photos.

Being excited to meet someone new I had no idea of the scene by which I came upon. Their home resides on many acres (detailed number I can’t recall) with the most beautiful home with a wrapped upon porch that sits on the edge of a lake. I could have sat there for days, reading books, listening to classical music- it’s really that good! We ventured out into the back pasture with several longhorns (I was squeezing my butt checks a little bit) and even met two Shetland ponies, a black Labrador namedTank and a German Shepard named Dave! Talk about a hoot!

Shelley, her husband, Don and the boys were so kind, excited even- and so began many years of photo shoots, including the boys senior shoots from High school and this year the whole extended family getting together at Thanksgiving.

The boys are now both at Texas A&M University in a few short years I will be doing their college graduation photos, which seems to be happening all too fast!

I love this whole crew, animals and all! 📸

Thanksgiving week is always my busiest week of my entire year. Families, friends, close and far are in town and what better time to capture those memories?

Having these individuals, families place their trust in me is not taken for granted. Most of the photo shoots this past week are families I have been working with for over 10+ years- I have known them, their children, their parents and watched everyone grow and change. I know what makes them smile, giggle and how important the presence of an aging parent is and the battles they have gone through this past year. This does not come from a one time interaction or shoot.

I am creating images that will feel incredible right now but really will tell a story in years to come.

There is not a price to be put on any of that. Not an expensive trip to Walt Disney, a new car or even a fancy new kitchen remodel can stand the same test of time as your family images.

People always ask why I don’t post more of the shoots I do or talk about all the awards I have won over the past 20 years as a female owned business here in Cypress, Texas.

Well…. That is about me, and the truth is my works purpose is about my clients. Their story. The large pieces of art on their walls that showcase their biggest loves, their worlds! There relationships, connections.

Watching them jump out of their cars and greet me year after year is the BEST feeling ever!!!!

Thank you to everyone who trusted me another year! We are in this for the long haul and I will always, always take very good care of you!

Sneak peek for his mama who has been so patient! Probably one of the finest young men I have had the honor of working with this season. Totally natural in front of the camera. His dream is to be an Astros sports broadcaster so I did a little magic, pulled a couple of strings and Altuve even approved!

Logan is part of the Cywoods Theater program which has some of the coolest kids in the area!!!!

Mirabella Smiles, Dr. Faltine

Dr. Faltine was inspired to become a Dentist by his mother, an accomplished dentist in Venezuela. After earning a bachelors at Texas A&M in college station, he completed his DDS degree at the University of Texas health science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Felton met his wife at Texas A&M; they enjoy working out spending time with family traveling and recently welcomed two lovable, golden doodles, Luna and Camilo into their family.

Dr. Faltine supports his community by giving back and doing good. He has also participated in many mission trips to help those in need around the world.

🎶“I like BIG families and I cannot lie!”

If your waiting to do a photo shoot, let me give you a few reasons NOT to;

1. You may never lose the weight and time will move in and you’ll be more sorry you didn’t do it!
2. I’m good at composing the shot and you will love the way you look!
3. Nobody is looking at your body they way you are
4. Your kids and people see you as the beautiful person you are- Believe it!
5. You never know what tomorrow brings and there is no promise in who will be with us tomorrow!

Do not put off getting your family photographs done this season. Life is imperfect and so are we! Capture the now!

Anna Grace McConaughey, thirteen and just keeps getting better!

When I found out that I was having a third child, it was during a very dark time of my life. My younger brother had been diagnosed with esophageal cancer and my husband was in between jobs. We were living on savings and time was running out. To add to my fear, worry; I also had friends, family members tell me, “I am just so glad it’s not me!” Or better, “Aren’t you too old to have a baby?” Gotta love no filter people.

I was 48.
My file did read, “advanced age.”

As my husband departed to another state to work and my brother was home in St. Louis with my family; Life went on. She was an easy pregnancy much like her brothers.

She arrived on July 15th and there has not been a single day that she has not brought light into this world.

I do not know who I would be today without her. She was my saving grace. She was all of our joy in a time when it felt heavy, dark and really hard. I remember flying on a small two seater plane to St. Louis, she was only three weeks old.

Her life was and is a blessing. God knew what was up ahead and gave us her. She is still everyone’s favorite person to have around. Her laugh, her smile, just her hugs alone make you feel so loved.

Her brothers adore her and are fiercely protective like her Dad. She is always going to root or look for the underdog that just might need a helping hand. Animals flock to her like Snow White!

My life would not be what it is today without this young lady. I love her with my whole being. My days are better because she is here: singing to Taylor Swift, long walks with the dogs, mid week Sephora trips, fun drinks and finding random food trucks, and tons of watercoloring!

Thank you Keith, an amazing neighbor old soul for his 1970 F150 truck which is 100% original- Anna Grace’s favorite green color!

Hug those you love. Press your finger tips in and stay longer than you think is normal. Breathe it in because we do not know what tomorrow brings!
