It’s WEDDING WEEK for these two!! 🤍

I am so incredibly excited for Xzavier & Karen as they prepare to enter into the beautiful vocation of marriage this weekend!

I know I am a day late, but this is something we could always celebrate!

Two hundred years ago today, the French government made the Daguerreotype—one of the earliest forms of photography—public. And with it began a new chapter in the love story between humanity and art.

Today, we celebrate World Photography Day. 📷

Photography gives us the incredible gift of remembering.

Because of it, we know the faces of saints, can see how the world has changed, and can revisit moments and people we thought we'd never see again.

I don't have to let the faces of my grandparents fade into oblivion. I can look at their photographs and remember their laugh, the way they smelled, and what it felt like to hug them.

That is why I believe photography can be used to honor and glorify the Creator.

If it couldn't, I wouldn't do it.

But it can. And I do.

So today, I encourage you to capture your life. Take the photograph of your children, your spouse, your grandparents, your ordinary Tuesday.

Because someday, you will want to remember it.

And it will be worth remembering.
