Newborn sessions can be stressful, but they don’t have to be. You’re learning new rhythms, navigating feedings and changes, running on little to no sleep, and somehow you’re supposed to look like you have it all together.

Even though this is one of the hardest seasons, it is absolutely the sweetest. That’s why my approach is more documentary and go with the flow. We can plan all we want, but at the end of the day, your sweet little nugget runs the show. What’s most important is tending to the baby’s needs and feeling like you’re supported. I calmly direct as needed so you feel comfortable and love your photos, but I want you to focus on being present in the moment.

These are your keepsake memories - forever. They should look and feel like you, not overproduced. Just like there is beauty in studio portraits, there is beauty in your everyday life. That’s what I love most, and I hope that you can see what I see.

This wedding will always stay with me. Not because of the details, but because of how kind, caring, and genuine each person was. The impact that they have had on their loved ones and each other would make anyone ugly cry. The love and joy throughout the day was truly extraordinary.

Not only that, but I couldn’t get over how ridiculously sweet and in love they are. They take late night boat rides and look up at the stars together - I mean does it get any more romantic?! They love, honor, and consider each other in the way that they speak about one another and make decisions. Not to mention, they are so selfless and caring.

This is why I do what I do. Not just to take pretty photos and videos, but to tell stories that actually matter. Your story matters, and you deserve to have your legacy preserved in a way that genuinely reflects you. That working mom life 😂 I have the best jobs in the world and wouldn’t trade them for anything 🥰 Any other parents relate?

But on a real note, I’ve found that starting each day with a devo and short journal really helps me to keep stress and overwhelm under control. When I’m intentional about my quiet time, it sets me up to be a better mom, wife, and business owner.

If you’re hosting a wedding weekend in Baltimore, think beyond just the venue. For rehearsal dinners, look at private dining in Hampden or Mount Vernon. For waterfront welcome drinks, look at Fells Point.

If you’re still searching for your venue, consider places that support a full weekend experience, like The Ivy Hotel for boutique charm or the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore for harbor views and walkability.

The key to a great wedding weekend is proximity. Keep events within 10 to 15 minutes of each other, and your guests will thank you - ESPECIALLY in the hot summer days.

Also think about how you want the weekend to feel. Friday should feel relaxed as friends and family are traveling in from out of town. Saturday should feel intentional and full of celebration- whether it’s on the dance floor or over a candlelit dinner. Sunday brunch should feel nice and slow after a late night and to prepare for travel back home. Let the weekend build naturally instead of peaking too early leading to early fatigue. It’s a marathon, not a race 😉

And pleeeaase, do not over schedule yourself. You deserve to enjoy time with your people and have quiet time with your partner to take in one of the best days of your life without feeling like you’re hosting a conference.

A well designed wedding weekend in Baltimore feels cohesive, thoughtful, and deeply personal. Make it yours.
