So I've spent a week with the Canon 100mm USM EF Macro lens on the Sony Alpha A7Riii using a Sigma MC-11 EF-E adapter. It works. It's a very workable combination. The lens does a great job of capturing details, when it's in focus. When there is enough light and the phase detect sensors are all engaged, the focus is spot on. [ 295 more words ]

My brother recently visited and I had asked if he could bring one or two of his Canon EF lenses with him, but only USM types, since I wanted to test out the Sigma MC-11 adapter with the Sony A7R3. So I'd been giving static page hosting a try for a few months. And for the most part, I like the hosting portion of it: Simple Fast serving Low server overhead Easy to port Markdown and templated files However, while the serving aspect of it was painless, the posting of content was anything but painless.
