I want to send a huge congrats to the winner of the 2026 Lowrance Bassmaster Elite at St. Lawrence River, Evan Küng.

Evan pretty much let me do what I needed to while capturing some pretty special moments, and here is the kicker. Kung would not have been in the 2027 Bassmaster Classic without a win this week. Talk about pressure, WOW!

We had an incredible day two with the leader of the 2026 Lowrance Bassmaster Elite at St. Lawrence River, Tucker Smith.
The weather got interesting with North winds and some rain that pushed through early. I really thought they were not going to bite, but boy was I wrong.

If you follow Bassmaster, then you know the Johnston brothers. I have spent a lot of time with these two guys, and they just have that God-given talent to find and catch big bass.
I shot these of Cory Johnston Fishing last week at Lake Champlain.

Have you ever heard of Zman pro Stephen Browning? If you have not, then maybe you have heard of his son, Bassmaster Elite Pro, Beau Browning. Beau is one of the most respectful, energetic, talented and easy-to-photograph fishing pros I have ever met. Beau Browning showed out at Lake Champlain this past week. He finished in 8th place, but he was only a little under five pounds out of first place.

The Lake Champlain derby was one for the history books. It is very rare that the Bassmaster crew has any idea who is going to win. Even as I talked to the anglers at the tanks behind the stage, I still could not figure out who would take home that blue trophy.

Beau Browning was one of those anglers who could have sealed the deal. I covered this young man for several days, and he showed out with a chatter bait and a coike. Beau intentionally pulled several big smallmouth to the camera side of the boat just so I could get some great photographs! I gave him a huge thank you, but then I said, " be careful doing that because at the end of the day, you are here to win!" Congrats to Beau for a top ten finish, and I can't wait to see what you do at the next derby.

I met Josh over twenty years ago when we shot for his model test. He has become one of my closest friends over the years. We have been shooting his family portraits for a long time, and when he booked us to go to Mexico to shoot his wedding, we were all over that!
Over the weekend, I stepped out of my comfort zone a little when we photographed his beautiful wife for her maternity shots. Here is what we got!
