Last night was a Lunar Eclipse and Super Blood Wolf Moon. The eclipse occurred when the moon was on the opposite side of the earth than the sun and the earth cast a shadow on the moon making it appear dark. It is called a super moon because it occurred when the moon was full and closest to Earth in its orbit. The red color is caused by the angle of the suns rays passing through the atmosphere of the earth and causing a red shift like happens at sunset to hit the moons surface. I hope you had a chance to see this unusual happening last night. But if you missed it, I have attached some pictures of the event for you to enjoy.
