Happy Halloween!! Enjoy a wee flashback to this lovely spooky elopement at the Paw Paw Tunnel. Because spooky season is the best season and this duo completely crushed it with their vision❤️👻

As I’m playing massive catch up before I drive far too much this weekend and capture some more couples in love, see some family along the way, and try to find some old homemade family graveyard in VA with my momma, finally take New River Gorge NP off my need to visit list, and getting to ride the Hatfield-McCoy Trails with my clients 🥳🥳 (as a person with McCoy ancestors, I’m most jazzed for multiple reasons of nerd).

I’ve been seriously overdue for this adventure side quest and family time. When your mom lives in the OBX and your sister lives in KY getting together doesn’t occur often enough in life sadly. Thank you clients for giving me the proper excuse to side quest and see some of the family❤️❤️
Also what a most fitting day to do weird history nerd creepy things 😉😂🥳

But yeah, enjoy the spooky pics… I’ll be in and out of service until sometime Monday ❤️❤️

Happy belated anniversary to this amazing duo ❤️❤️

Their wedding hit all the good vibes, from getting ready at their house nearby. To which made the most lovely venue for sure for this fall wedding. The diy vibes, all the twinkle lights, the campfire and moonlight dance party helped to make this fall evening the most magical for sure ❤️❤️

I’m most thankful for Tony and Denise for connecting me with Tabitha and Will, and I’m most blessed our mutual adhd chaos worked magically together ❤️❤️

It’s the busiest time of October and it’s the day to watch this duo wear out the dance floor on their own wedding day this time 😉❤️

I met Rachel and Kyle some years back when capturing Rachel’s sister’s wedding. This duo danced the night away and we vibed so well. Fast forward, now it’s their turn and I couldn’t be more excited 🥳🥳

So kicking off busy weeks, it’s driving three hours one way. To drive three hours back home, to capture a wedding in Canaan Valley/ Blackwater Falls tomorrow, then maybe an engagement shoot Monday (gotta see if this weather agrees, might be wiggling that one). To the do some more crazy running the next couple of weekends. Happy fall y’all 🥳🥳

Thank god I’m cracking out of the hypothyroidism flare up finally. Having energy again has been nice. Now just send some thoughts and prayers to boyfriend as we literally will pass each other on the highway today 😂😉🤦🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️❤️

My job is uh-maze-ing, but there simply aren’t enough hours in the day sometimes I swear.

Always reach out, you never know what magic could be made.

Last year this lovely duo drove to my local courthouse down the street (it’s very easy to get married at, and the only one with gargoyles in Maryland btw). She had bought him football tickets as a present, thinking the game was in Baltimore and realizing it was in Kansas City. So we had a quick but packed morning as that trip became their honeymoon!!

So we started our day out at the ever lovely (yes you can get married there, dooooo itttt) where we got ready and took some pics, and then Susan and Mike had their first look and gave presents to the kiddos. Then we walked next door to the Allegany County Courthouse where we stumbled about until it was time to have the ceremony in the front lawn. Afterwards I showed off some of my courthouse favorites (humans, plants, gnomes, etc). Then we wandered about the neighborhood some and they wanted some dope pics of their Bronco so we had a bit of play before letting them go so they didn’t miss their flight out to Kansas City!! There’s a magic to ADHD brained life (as a fellow myself) and it’s lovely when all the stars align and we get to make some out of the box magic happen. I’m blessed I got to see Susan’s magic do its thing and capture all the joy 🥳❤️

Some weddings just end up being the most fun and I meet some humans for the first time, because they booked me months before their day, and thankfully we clicked perfectly. Maggie and Nick were for sure those humans ❤️❤️

Honestly I’ll probably do two posts for this wedding because the detailsssss!! Oh my goodness the details were amazing!! Also the kiddo’s ran this show and they deserve their moment in the sun as well.

The rain came, and thankfully quickly went away. Puppies had tuxedos and were the inspo for the beverages. Many tears and many laughs were had. The dance party was a vibeeee. This Deep Creek Maryland backyard wedding was a ball 🥳❤️

This lovely duo is doing the darn thing here soon, so it’s about time I actually share these with social media. Kailee and Cole are the most adorable. We had a wonderful day bopping around downtown Thomas, WV first. Then we made a waterfall pitstop nearby. Then they rolled with my crazy overlook idea I have had for ages, and Cole being from the area one upped me and did my favorite thing and added a new secret spot to my brain. I adored chasing the sunset with this lovely duo and I’m most happy for their upcoming wedding ❤️❤️

The mountains of Virginia and I have some good day luck going…

J&N’s day of wedding celebration was most wonderful for sure. Their friends and families gathered from all over into the Shenandoah Mountains in order to celebrate their love. First stop was to an old favorite overlook to grab some quick morning portraits before it all began. Then we wandered up to where the most lovely flowers were laid out, I met up with the officiant, got a surprise quick rain and hail storm he and I cleaned up just as everyone was arriving. The ceremony was most lovely and featured a ring warming ceremony as well!! Afterwards we made our way to their rental house for dinner, warmth, wine, laughter, cake, fire, and marshmallows. Personally I couldn’t imagine a more lovely day and set it up to look stunning. Using the bride’s parents China and all ❤️❤️

When 20 seconds of bravery changes your whole life…

Trisha and Caitlin’s story began on a set of bleachers and the simple but terrifying adventure of asking a girl out…in Ohio.

I think living in Maryland and growing up with so many family friends who are gay/queer that I sometimes forget that it’s even harder in other places in the US. Especially in our current political climate. Getting their email had me in tears, they were basically making sure I was a safe human. Which honestly blew me away to think that’s something people still have to ask or consider, which breaks my heart. Meeting them both and doing their engagement photos we clicked and I was soooooo happy we came together. Their wedding day was a bit chilly with the October season bringing the cold snap a bit sooner than expected, but lovely nonetheless. Both had their families there supporting them and drove hours to do so. We played in the woods and made use of the gorgeous pavilion at Swallow Falls State Park, and then continued the party back at their rental house. Even there baby puppy was along for all the adventures and bigger than he was for their engagement session

So yeah, if you need a supporter or someone to help you plot how to get married on a tight budget in somewhere new to you… I got you!! I promise we shall make art and have a blast ❤️

Your wedding day should be whatever you want it to be. Whatever is priority to you should be the most important. For Megan and Jairus they really wanted an intimate ceremony and to focus more so on couples portraits. So that’s what we did. They had their ceremony at the and then we wandered around the property, Washington Street, bopped into and soaked up Downtown Cumberland Maryland before I sent them on their way to their dinner at
