The Ocean State Disaster Team (OSDT) invites everyone across Rhode Island to participate in Good Night Lights on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, as we come together to bring hope and encouragement to the children and families at Hasbro Children's Hospital.
Good Night Lights is a cherished Rhode Island tradition that unites communities in a simple but meaningful gesture. At 8:30 p.m., participants shine flashlights, wave glow sticks, flash porch lights, or safely activate emergency vehicle lights toward the hospital, letting young patients know that an entire community is thinking of them. The children inside the hospital respond by flashing their lights back, creating a memorable moment of connection, hope, and support.
The Ocean State Disaster Team encourages everyone—including families, businesses, schools, first responders, community organizations, and local residents—to join us for this special evening.
