1. I was in the wedding party, this was not my camera, and I was absolutely not prepared to take photos. I was still in heels and mentally on my way to cocktail hour 🍸
2. That is genuinely as high as my arms could go because of the dress sleeves. Mobility: limited. Determination: unmatched.
3. I ended up grabbing MJ’s spare camera at her request
4. Honestly one of the biggest compliments was being asked to capture the bride and groom portraits alongside MJ 🥹📸
5. MJ and I became fast friends and are now plotting to start a whole east coast photography empire 😅

Make sure when you’re booking your wedding photographer, you ask to see full galleries 👀

It’s easy for anyone to post their best shots on social media. I mean… that’s literally what it is for. A tiny highlight reel of the absolute best moments.

But the real flex isn’t just one jaw dropping sunset portrait in perfect lighting.

It’s being able to create beautiful, story-driven images no matter the timeline, weather, venue, or lighting conditions.

A full wedding gallery shows consistency. It shows how your photographer handles dark churches, barns with orange hue wood, family chaos, rainy forecasts, harsh sun, 2 feet of snow, crowded dance floors, emotional moments, and everything in between.

Anyone can post 10 great photos.

Not everyone can deliver 800+. ✨

There’s something so surreal about growing alongside my clients. Engagements turn into weddings, weddings turn into babies, and suddenly I’m watching entire stories unfold in front of my camera.

Getting even the smallest role in these chapters is something I don’t take lightly. Just… a lot of gratitude for the people who keep coming back and trusting me with it all.
