The woodland creature embroidery I finished with bark frames. Our nursery for our little baby was going to be woodland themed and I had so many projects planned for it from making a quilt, creating pictures using woodburning, and these embroidery pieces. Even though she's no longer with us I wanted to finish the projects I had planned in honor of her.

These embroideries are not for sale as they hold a special place in my heart and I have hopes that I will get to use them in a nursery someday.

Taking in different views while working on a new little project. There's been a lot of chaos in my life the last couple of months and I'm doing some grieving, but I'm hoping to get back to doing more projects soon. You probably won't see me at any festivals or fairs this year as I have decided to take some time off to put my life back together. Before we even knew the gender of our little baby we lost; Josh and I had decided that the nursery theme was going to be baby woodland animals. So, being the person I am, I got working on items and creating decorations for the nursery, never thinking that nursery would not be used.

Even though we lost our baby to Trisomy 13, I wanted to finish what I started. Back at Christmas, I started this quilt by hand and just finished it last week. I am also currently working on some embroidery pieces I was planning on hanging .

Two weeks ago, Josh and I received the heartbreaking news that our baby had been diagnosed with Trisomy 13. We were trying to process what that meant for our little one and for our family. Then, on Monday, at 18 weeks, we sadly lost our sweet baby because of Trisomy 13.

This has been an incredibly hard time for us. I have always dreamed of being a mom, and I was already getting so excited about having a little baby following me around and filling our home with love.

Right now, we are grieving the loss of a baby who was already so loved and wanted even though we hadn't officially met them yet. We appreciate all the prayers, love, and support. I know our little one is up in heaven right now with my dad taking care of them as he finally gets to be a grandpa.

I don't think enough artists or crafters talk about the pressure they are under with deadlines. I have until tomorrow to finish this piece for the Christmas themed craft fair I am doing on Saturday. My hands are aching, but I gotta push through. Why do we do this to ourselves...haha.
