This one means a little more to me.

When Fancy’s Media started, it was built on a passion for telling stories. Not just making videos, but capturing the people, the moments, and the stories behind them.

Over the last year, we’ve done a whole lot of learning and growing, and Lord knows we still have a long way to go. But projects like this remind me exactly why we started.

If you follow Drew Long, you already know he’s about as genuine and authentic as they come. Just a good dude out here chasing his dreams, making music, and telling his story along the way.

I’m incredibly honored that Drew trusted us to help bring the story behind **“The Grass Is Greener”** to life. Being even a small part of someone else's journey and getting to tell stories that actually mean something is what this is all about.

Drew, thank you for letting Fancy’s Media be part of this one. We're proud of how it turned out, and even more excited to see where your journey takes you!

Fall season is our rest and reflect time and to be with our family as it is busy with children’s activities. We are working on our set lists and making adjustments to things as we reflect on what we accomplished this year. Grateful to spend time with family and excited to get ready for what is ahead!

When you throw your back out dealing with a flooded laundry room, you use what’s available. 😂

Turns out a RIDGID shop vac also makes a pretty solid walker when you’re trying to take the pressure off and stretch that muscle.

Because trying it without the handy little rolling support system will put you right back on the floor.

Ask me how I know. 🤦‍♂️

And of course Mrs. Fancy made sure there was video evidence.🙄

So… do we turn this thing back on?

Fancy’s Unfiltered has been pretty quiet for about a year, and for a while I honestly didn’t know if I’d ever turn the cameras back on for this side of things.

A lot changed.

I left a career I’d been in for years and jumped full-time into Fancy’s Media thinking I had a pretty good idea of what that meant.

Turns out, figuring out how to run a camera and knowing how to build a business around one are two VERY different things. 😂

The last year has been a lot of learning, screwing things up, figuring out what works, figuring out what absolutely does NOT work, meeting some really good people, finding mentors, learning our market and slowly figuring out what Fancy’s Media is supposed to be.

And somewhere in all of that, Mrs. Fancy found her way back to photography.

So now I get to build this thing with my wife — which is pretty damn cool.

That also got me thinking about why Fancy’s Unfiltered existed in the first place.

It was never supposed to be another job.

It was supposed to be the fun stuff.

Food. Fireside conversations. Music. People. Stories. Local businesses. Barbecue. Fishing. Whatever the hell we find interesting enough to point a camera at.

Maybe sometimes it’s just me.

Maybe sometimes Mrs. Fancy is sitting beside me.

Maybe we cook something.

Maybe somebody brings a guitar.

Maybe we just sit around a fire and talk.

No giant production. No trying to make everything perfect. Just good people, good stories and whatever happens.

Sometimes when you turn something you love into the thing that pays the bills, it’s pretty easy to lose sight of why you picked up the camera in the first place.

I think I needed the break to figure that out.

So…

Should we turn Fancy’s Unfiltered back on? 👀
