I’ve spent a lot of time praying and thinking about this, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from photography. This could be a few months, or a few years. I want to apologize to anyone who has trusted me to capture such important moments. I know how meaningful these memories are, and I never want anyone to feel like I didn’t give their session the dedication it deserved. My decision isn’t because I’ve stopped loving photography. I love it enough to realize that I need to take a step back. I haven’t felt like my work has been where I want it to be, and I’ve found myself putting so much pressure on myself that I’ve lost sight of why I started in the first place. I feel God calling me to slow down, grow within myself, and focus on becoming the person He’s calling me to be. I want to grow not only in my faith and as a person, but also in photography itself for those that trust me to capture their moments. This is not me giving up forever. It’s me choosing to step back, learn, grow, and allow God to lead me instead of trying to force something before I’m fully ready. I am so incredibly grateful for every person who has supported this , trusted me with their families and memories, shared my work, recommended me, or simply cheered me on. It has meant more to me than you know.
Thank you for understanding, and thank you for believing in me. I’m trusting that God has a plan for this next chapter, even if I can’t see exactly what it looks like yet. 🤍
