PSA - Personal Post!!! I am absolutely so frustrated with the Phoenix VA. In June last year we went to visit the VA for our annual visit- as my Husband is disabled from a combat related TBI - I am his caregiver. I seem to have been given all the tools by the military as I was a with many advanced certifications. What I saw happen in that room at the hands of Dr. Chalicki was obscene- the more we pushed back against her abuse the more abusive and absurd she got. Screaming- refusal to address incredibly serious issues. Refusal to refer- failure to do examinations- and any actual touching by the doctor was more like a shove or chest compression. When we pointed out a place that was painful- she asked us if we wanted her to take a picture. I have reported her to every level - White House - her boss Dr. Nanda - patient advocate- absolutely no one cared. I have been reported to Mental Health for pushing back and today I received this. Not support - not an answer- not another appointment- not even a phone call. The VA is just an extension of crap care - this is supposed to be a care system we have already earned!! But the VA is constantly determining whether you are indeed entitled to the care promised. Are you lying? Are you drug seeking? I never ask for any help/pain control because you are then a pill ju**ie. I think I would have preferred the situation addressed- but instead I was sent this work book. Dr. Chalicki has a history of abuse - even hurting women during Pap smears!! But she’s good enough for the VA!
