I had the pleasure a few weeks ago to spend the day at Ft. Matanzas with some wonderful historical reenactors. They almost barred me from the island because, well, pirate (I tried to look not pirate, but I really can't help it🤷‍♀️☠️), but they did graciously allow me to stay. I hid under the stairs in the shade and read while there wear tour groups around. Next time I'll bring my shackles and pretend to be their prisoner. 😂
