NMP launched their first online critique workshop [via Zoom] this year and right away realized the need from our followers.

Our next workshop will launch in January and we promise to market it well once the registration opens.

We meet every other week on a week night from 6 - 7:30p on Zoom [no subscription necessary]. Varied assignments, strong feedback, voice building... a rich and rewarding experience for those looking to grow in their work.

Colleen Goethals, MS, RHIA, FAHIMA, MS, RHIA, FAHIMA is a health information leader, trusted advisor, professional speaker, author alongside of her role as Vice President at Mid Revenue Cycle at CorroHealth. Colleen's previous headshot was outdated and she was both ready and a little nervous to update her headshot for her online platform presence on websites, social media and anytime someone needed a headshot to market her for public speaking.

We engaged the NMP wise counsel and Colleen appreciated our tips for wardrobe and make up, showing up with a 5 star rating in ‘ready to roll’. We agreed on two backgrounds - one standard black [for speaking and in general] as well as a little less formal look in a soft wash of light.

Colleen most certainly brought the confidence and smile and we were all pleased with these shiny new headshots! Way to shine!

Why Join the Fun on Our Street Photography Workshops?

Q - What is Street Photography?
A - Street Photography is so many things.
- candid unposed moments in public places
- documenting a city or community’s essence through its people and their actions
- spontaneous moments without staging or directing
- capturing the human element of culture and life
- more but we need to move on to the next question for now

Q - Beyond Street Photography, where would I use these skills?
A - Such a good question - and the answer will make sense when you hear it. You will use these skills with your travel photography! Street photography is capturing the essence of where you are.

Q - What do I need to join an NMP Street Photography Workshop?
A - A camera - anywhere from a phone camera to a dslr and comfortable shoes.
[I personally shoot more than half of my street photography on my iPhone.]

Q - Is it fun?
A - What? FUN? Heck yes. And challenging but not daunting. And exhilarating but not exhausting. And inclusive of all levels of photographers. And you will learn SO much in this real time shooting and instruction.

NMP Chicago Street Photography Workshops | 2025

If FOMO is your thing, then you need to know that in 2025 these are the only 3 dates we can guarantee are carved out for Street Photography so lean in or walk past wisely.

Prescouted ‘city’ scenes for optimum captures, group and one on one teaching for light seeking, composition + scene set up, some creative tips and camera settings and methods.

Once you register, we send you a list of recommended clothing, footwear, gear and backpack packing. Or you can wing it and shoot with your phone. Either way will be successful

If all that didn’t grab you, Bonnie Wemken will also be teaching panning soooo NMP is delivering on that promise in 2025, as well!
