🌟 Are you a daydreamer? A visionary who loves to imagine all the wonderful ways your life could unfold? SAME. 🙌 It’s how I tackle my biggest creative challenges—by drifting into dreamland and finding those brilliant solutions. 💡

But, let’s be real—it can also set us up for some serious disappointment. 😅 When those dreamy expectations don’t match reality, it can really rob us of joy. That’s why I’m on a mission to detach from expectations and focus on living in the moment. 🌸

Here’s what I’ve learned (or, ahem, am learning) Expectations ≠ Standards ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

It’s important to set high standards for ourselves and others, but confusing them with expectations only leads to frustration … and disappointment … and failure 😬

So, let’s keep dreaming, manifesting, and creating goals—but also stay adaptable, resilient, and fully present in the beautiful journey that is life. ✨

“Some days I am more wolf than woman and I am still learning how to stop apologizing for my wild,” Nikita Gill.

How many of y’all are still apologizing for your wild? I know I catch myself doing so every once in a while.

Whatever your “wild” is — honesty, radical candor, being sensitive or heart-forward, being “too much” — it’s never something to apologize for. Your wild is your you, it’s the magic you bring to the world.

Being a business owner, it can feel like I need to be a certain way, or act a certain way, in ways that sometimes don’t feel authentic or true.

But it becomes clearer and clearer with each day, each collaboration, each project, etc. that I thrive when I deeply connect with my wild. That my work shines brighter, and the connections run deeper.

So, try to not apologize the next time you’re a little too “wild” because you cannot apologize for being wholly, authentically you 🐺❤️

As a business owner, I’ve faced my fair share of ignored invoices, leaving me stressed and, TBH, a bit pi**ed off. I get it, s**t happens – technical glitches or life events can delay payments, and empathy goes a long way. I truly try to be as understanding and patient as possible. Check out .co recent post on this, it’s so good 😎

Of course I always use an attorney-drafted contract and require a deposit before beginning work, so I have that covered. But when invoices go unpaid, the silence is deafening. It’s not just frustrating; it’s downright unprofessional and feels disrespectful 😳

So, I want to know how y’all deal with this. What’s the solution? Do you actually enforce late fees? How do you handle overdue payments without burning bridges?

And then if an invoice goes unpaid, what do you do?!

I’m eager to hear from y’all, not only for practical guidance but also because I value learning more about my peers and how they do the things they do. Feel free to DM me if you’re more comfortable ❤️🐺

With a team of incredible creatives and real-life healthcare workers, we tackled a 1.5 day photo and video shoot capturing beautiful content for their new website. Working with Medely was an absolute pleasure – their team’s creativity, talent, and kindness truly shone through 🧡🧡

Through our collaboration, we witnessed firsthand how Medely revolutionizes the healthcare industry, making it easier for professionals to find meaningful work while providing top-notch care.

Somehow it is already Thanksgiving. I've decided to keep this brief. Instead of crafting the perfect note of gratitude, I'm going to spend quality time with loved ones and perhaps even relax a bit.

So, thank you. Thank you to everyone who has collaborated with, invested in, cheered for, and believed in Red Riding Hood Productions. Owning a business is not for the faint of heart, and it's the continuous support from this entire community and my support group that has kept it thriving.

I hope you have the opportunity to spend quality time with people you cherish this week, take inventory of the goodness in your life, and maybe enjoy a big, beautiful, home-cooked meal.
