As summer unfolds, I hope everyone is making the most of it ☀️. With the upcoming school year on the horizon, I am pleased to announce a special offer for parents of seniors (Class of 2027).

By committing to book a full senior session before September 1, 2026, you will be eligible for a free mini cap & gown session in the spring. Photos can be taken anytime from now until end of the school year, the booking deadline is September 1, 2026.

*A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking and will be applied to your final balance.

It’s even closer from Whiting lakefront 😍☀️🏙️

You can see the Chicago skyline from Indiana Dunes Beach, almost 50 miles away across Lake Michigan.

On clear days, the skyscrapers appear on the horizon like they are floating above the water.

The view is possible because Indiana Dunes sits on the southern edge of Lake Michigan, giving people a long, open line of sight toward Chicago.

But the skyline is not always visible.

You usually need clear air, good lighting, and the right conditions.

Sometimes, atmospheric refraction can make the buildings look even more dramatic, bending light over the lake and making the distant city appear higher or sharper than normal.

That is why photos from the beach can look almost unreal.

One minute you are standing on sand in Indiana.

The next, you are looking across the water at one of America’s biggest skylines.

Nearly 50 miles away.

Chicago, rising from the horizon.
