My Hobby turned into a Dream!

Hey y’all! If you have not already met me my name is Heidi Thoele. I’m a mother of 2 wild boys, a wife to a handsome husband, and a cat mom! (thanks to my husband)

I never intended on turning my photography into my second job, but here we are! Everything I know I’ve taught myself from YouTube videos, googling info about my camera, and practice practice PRACTICE! When I graduated high school I had NO CLUE what I wanted to do with my life. I ended up getting pregnant 4 months after graduation. I had to grow up fast, and get my life together!

I started using my Nikon by photographing my oldest, Preston. Money was tight back then so we never had a professional take newborn photos. After I practiced my settings and learning how to shoot, I started learning the editing! Let. Me. Tell. YOU. Editing is no joke! Looking back on my first sessions to now, I laugh at myself daily. I’ve come a long way and I still have a ways to go!

I am working on turning photography into my full time job! My husband is one of my biggest supporters, and he is pushing me to reach my goals! Within a few months I am planning on purchasing some new gear, talking about a She-Shed to store all of my props, and eventually (like 10-15 years down the road) having my OWN STUDIO! I love outdoor sessions, but I’ve learned the past couple of years that the studio life is definitely for me!
