Hey! I’ve been online a LOT less recently! Traveling, great weather & outdoor activities with and without the family have been the priority.
Anyways, this is the first “release” from the trip to Sedona last week. While it was mainly a getaway for my wife & I, I did do some photography as well and got some really beautiful stuff you’ll be seeing soon.

Sitting around in MSP airport waiting to cool off for a few days in Sedona (yes, its supposed to be slightly cooler there than here) while we’re there.

I cannot wait to get exploring!

Took a drive in the rain yesterday evening by where the Flanders fire went through the other day. The off-road trails are still closed, so I didn’t venture in. It was strangely beautiful when I thought about how wildfire is one of the ways that forests regenerate themselves.

Probably not too many more Minnesota photos coming down the line for the next lil bit. Heading to Arizona for a short getaway next week.

It’s been 9 years since we lost Chris Cornell, one of the greatest singers of all time. I remember a week or so after it happened I was on a hike, kind of lost in my thoughts & I saw this cloud that I thought looked like a hand reaching down, which reminded me of his songs Reach Down from Temple of the Dog & Hands All Over from the mighty Soundgarden. So, cheers to Chris. We miss your voice dearly. Say Hello to Andy, Layne, Mike, Mark & Kurt.

Smoke from the Flanders fire seen from the site of the MIlford Mine Disaster. My little corner of the world has seen its share of disaster & I'm hopeful that it will come back strong again.

It has been a tense afternoon & evening with the Flanders wildfire popping up about 10 miles from home, between us and some dear friends. We are grateful for the brave firefighters and first responders doing their best to get this under control with minimal loss of structures & hopefully without loss of life.
