Let me introduce myself 👋

Hi, I’m Chressie. I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, and I am 35 years young. I’m a mother of three kiddos, and have been doing photography part time since 2018. I also have 2 dogs, a miniature American Eskimo and a St. Bernard. 🐾

I love to bake, but hate cooking. I could eat pizza every single day and never be tired of it. I also have an amazing man in my life, who will tell you that I’m very strong willed. I am a former warped tour + scene kid (probs obvious 🙂‍↔️) and don’t go out often but when I do, 90% chance it’s because of a metalcore show.

My favorite things to photograph are dogs, events, bo***ir, and family portraits. 📸 Hire me as your photographer and I’ll probably do something accidentally funny then we’ll have a cool inside joke.

P.S. I will always defend Taco Bell.

Monday 🐾

Long post ahead, but this little sweetheart has been through so much and her story deserves to be known.

“Monday is a senior chihuahua who was found abandoned in the middle of nowhere on a stormy night at 11:00pm. When I saw her, I knew I just had to help, no matter the cost. The following morning, I took her to the vet, where she needed emergency surgery after we discovered she had a life-threatening infection in her uterus called Pyometra. This condition can only be treated through an emergency spay the same day it is diagnosed, otherwise the animal will go septic and pass away. On top of that, Monday had to get six teeth extracted due to severe dental disease, which was causing an upper respiratory infection. Thankfully, despite her fragile health, she survived the surgery and is now recovering, but her journey is far from over.

Since Monday is a senior female dog who was never spayed, she unfortunately has mammary tumors, which likely means she has breast cancer. If she pulls through this phase of healing, she will get updated on her vaccines and eventually need her masses removed. I am fortunate enough to have access to affordable veterinary care as I work in the field, but I can only afford so much. With her condition, she will need prescription-grade food to ensure she gets the nutrients she needs to get healthy again and make it to the next steps of her journey, which is also not cheap. Even if all I can give allows her to have a great quality of life for the short term, she deserves it. She has easily captured our hearts, and I want to give her all that she deserves, which sadly was not given to her by those who had her before. With your help, I’ll be able to achieve that goal. We are calling her Monday, since she was found on a Monday night. She is the sweetest thing who just longs to be cuddled and protected.”
