A little sneak peek from tonight’s maternity session because I simply couldn’t wait. ✨🤍

The light, the outfit, the location… everything came together so beautifully for this one.

I’ll be out of the office this week photographing in North Carolina and soaking up some creative time, so responses may be a little slower than usual. I’ll be checking messages when I can and will get back to everyone as soon as possible!

Sometimes I sit back and realize how much of my life has been shaped by photography.

What started as picking up a camera has turned into five years of running a business built around preserving memories and telling stories. In those five years, photography has taken me on road trips, to mountaintops, into wedding venues, across state lines, and introduced me to people I never would have met otherwise.

It has given me sunrise sessions, film photography, published work, late-night editing marathons, creative challenges, and some of the most meaningful friendships I’ve ever had.

Looking at this photo, I see more than just cameras. I see five years of learning, growing, taking risks, making mistakes, trying new things, and slowly building a life around something I genuinely love.

There were seasons where I questioned myself, seasons where I wanted to quit, and seasons where I felt completely on top of the world. But through all of it, photography has remained the constant.

Five years later, I’m still just as excited to pick up a camera as I was when I first started.

And honestly? I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything. 🤍📷✨

the bouquet laid gently on the chair, the veil catching the light just right, the shoes waiting for their walk down the aisle… these are the quiet in-between moments that help tell the full story of a wedding day.

there’s something so soft about a love that feels at home in the middle of the woods. no big production. no forced poses. just cold creek water, mossy rocks, tangled hair, muddy feet, and two people completely wrapped up in each other. 🖤

these are the kinds of sessions i could photograph over and over again. the quiet moments, the laughter in between, the “wait do that again” moments, and me standing there trying not to yell about how cute everything is every five seconds 😭✨

there’s just something about photographing a wedding on film that slows everything down in the best way.

the soft movement of Maggie’s veil, the bridesmaids carrying parasols through the garden, the quiet little glances between her and Zach before the chaos of the day fully kicked in… these felt like moments that belonged on film. 🤍

still not over how timeless this entire day looked through my canon ae1 while second shooting. truly felt like flipping through memories instead of just photos.

we hiked through the mountains, climbed around rocks barefoot, fought humidity, and probably questioned our life choices at least once on the way there… but then the light hit, the water started flowing around us, and suddenly it all felt worth it.

these feel soft and wild and honest in the best way. i’m already obsessed with this session.

i know i talk about film a lot but LOOK AT THESE 😭🤍

the veil glow, the pastel florals, the softness in her expression… film just captures wedding days in a way that feels so emotional and nostalgic all at once. like you’re looking at a memory instead of a photo.

every scan coming back from the lab feels like opening little time capsules and these might be some of my favorites yet.

some weddings feel less like a wedding day and more like a memory you somehow got to witness in real time. 🤍

the soft greens, the parasols, the veil catching the light, the quiet little in between moments… all of it felt like something pulled straight from a keepsake box.

second shooting Maggie + Zach’s day on my Minolta was such a dream. these are the kinds of images that make me fall in love with photographing weddings over and over again. ✨

there’s just something about film and florals that feels like magic to me 🌸✨

the softness, the colors, the way film turns a moment into a memory before you’ve even gotten the scans back. these feel like something pulled straight out of a dream, pastel blooms, warm sunlight, and a bride surrounded by beauty from every direction.

i swear every time i shoot weddings on film i fall in love with it all over again. the grain, the glow, the imperfect perfection of it all. 🤍
