Who says that, because you’re eloping, you can’t have a first dance?

Picture this: You and your partner just spent an amazing day hiking up a mountain, said your vows with an incredible vista as your backdrop, enjoyed a picnic in some wildflowers, and then decided to dance like no one is watching (because no one is!). You get goofy, smiles so much it hurts, twirl, dip, kiss, embrace, and have the most authentic, perfectly “you” moment to start off your marriage.

Here is your reminder that you don’t need to travel to the ends of the earth or put on fancy clothes to have epic moments.

I love getting to search out and roam incredible landscapes with my clients but these soft, in between moments are just as breathtaking. The times when you can be wrapped up in your partner’s arms and feel completely safe or nuzzle your nose into your love’s skin to breathe in the smell of home. That is trust and love and monumental. It is important and fierce and awe inspiring. Embrace it.

I am so excited to be picking my film camera up again! I used to love shooting with film in college and developing my own photos. It was the medium that I learned photography on and I can’t wait to get back to it.

In my final package to all of my couples I have always included a few Polaroids from their day. I think that it is a really fun way of remembering your day and having something tangible to hold on to as your flip through the photos from your wedding. I’m so stoked to be adding other forms of film photos to these thank you packages now as well!
