How long do wedding photos take? This will vary but generally the getting ready photos take about 90 minutes, the ceremony is around 45 minutes, family photos are 30 minutes and couples portraits and wedding party photos are 90 minutes. The rest is party!!

📸 **What should you wear for family photos in Crested Butte?** 🏔️

My biggest tip? Coordinate, but don't match!

🤎 Choose 2–3 complementary colors.
🍂 Earthy tones, creams, denim, rust and soft greens look beautiful against the Colorado mountains.
🧥 Bring layers! Mountain weather can change quickly, especially in fall.
👢 Choose shoes that are comfortable enough to walk and explore in.
✨ Add texture with sweaters, dresses, jackets and simple accessories.

🤍 Sometimes photographs become more meaningful than we could ever imagine when we take them...I recently photographed this family, never knowing that one of their loved ones would unexpectedly pass away shortly afterward.

My heart breaks for this family, but I’m so incredibly grateful that I was able to give them these images. Photographs they can hold onto, look back on, and cherish for years to come.

It’s a reminder of why I do what I do. These sessions aren’t just about getting everyone together for a beautiful picture. They’re about preserving the people we love, the connections we share, and the moments we don’t realize will one day mean everything.

We never know how much time we have or which moments will become our most treasured memories.

For my senior sessions, I recommend bringing 3–5 outfits so we can create lots of variety and show off different sides of your personality. We’ll typically photograph at 2–3 different locations, giving you a mix of backgrounds, looks, and styles throughout your session.

Think about bringing a combination of outfits—a casual everyday look, something a little dressier, an outfit that shows your personality, and even something connected to a sport, hobby, or activity you love.

This was such a blast of a weekend- Denver trip to visit some of my favorite past clients and continue telling their story. This couple was married in Crested Butte 4 years ago and I had a the pleasure to photograph their special day. And here we are 4 years later photographing their little 1.5 year old Wyatt! The beautiful city skyline in the back of City Park with the sun setting was magical! Thanks Kellie and Adam!
