📸Documentary & Street Photography Hi, I'm Nick, a Rhode Island-based photographer focused on documentary and street photography.

I first began shooting on film as a child and young teen, before digital photography was widely available, and I've returned to that medium over the past two years, shooting with a 35mm SLR from the 1970s. To me there's a certain quality to film that makes images feel more real and organic, and it's something that draws me further in with every roll I shoot. I'm currently in the planning stages of a larger-scale film project exploring the analog world in the not so distant past when we connected more with each other before falling into patterns that lead us to the digital loneliness many experience today. I hope to share this work early next year. With a decade behind the camera, my work explores everyday life and the changing character of the streets and places around us. I'm equally at home capturing moments that pass unnoticed as I am the small details that give a place its sense of identity, or the chaos of a big event. Much of my work is rooted in observation and patience, spending time in the same streets and environments until the right moment reveals itself. Through photography, I aim to document the textures of daily life and the ways our surroundings evolve over time.

At Coney Island summer always ends with a splash, the lifeguards here have a long standing tradition on the last day of the season. Every Labor Day at the end of the day when the whistles are put away and the chairs are empty till next summer, they all head out to the pier to celebrate another successful season of keeping New Yorkers safe as they escape the summer heat for a day at the beach
