A Walk in the Park

Well, after 2.5 years with my Nikon D7500, i am finally getting serious with learning to use it. I started a photography class this week. After completing homework on aperture and depth of field, I played around with a few images. Props to Craig Allen Photography for helping get my computer on the new wifi and walking me through all the basics of exporting and resizing images.

"Kaleidoscope"
The way light reflects in water is mesmerizing. We spent a fair amount of time by this creek (our only water source) up at Ridge Camp in the Mount Margaret Backcountry on Mount Saint Helens.
Not all of my pictures have names, in fact so far this and "Frayed" are the only two that do.

"Frayed"
In June we scored a permit to camp at on The abandoned logging equipment from the 1980 eruption has slowly decomposed, bleached in the sun and an undeniable reminder of the devastation. As a new photographer I am learning what I love. This journey is a delight and I am incredibly thankful to have a quality camera and a spouse that guides me along the way. I am drawn to the imperfect- seeing beauty where it is less than obvious. I love this picture.
