So I have REALLY EXCITING NEWS to share with everyone. I’d like to tell the entire story in detail but I would probably lose too many of you with the length of it so here is the bottom line...

I entered my dog Lucy (who passed away back in February 2025) into the nationwide dog calendar contest for Workman Publishing’s Dog a Day calendar for 2027 and SHE WON the GRAND PRIZE out of over 12,000 entries! My dog is TOP DOG!!!! I am over the moon excited about this as I have never known anyone to win any type of prize like this and MY dog won it!!!! I just can’t believe it...I am so happy. The winner receives five free calendars and a $500 gift card to Chewy.com and since I no longer have a pet, I have split the award into $250 worth of stuff to the Nebraska Humane Society because that is where I got Lucy from 15 years ago, and the other $250 in product goes to the Midlands Humane Society in CB where I volunteer weekly shooting their dog photos for them.

Lucy’s legacy lives on....

It's spring and that means graduation time. IWCC nurse pinning pictures for the 18th time and always enjoy capturing their special day! Here's the "silly" group photos at the end....

It’s spring concert time again for me and the Southwest Iowa Chorale! We are singing songs all composed by women so that is kind of cool! I get to do a small solo at the beginning of a Lady Gaga song called A Million Reasons so I’m excited for that. Come to the performance at the Iowa Western Performing Arts Center this Sunday the 12th at 2 pm. It’s FREE!

Today was the day to take the Class of 2026 Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership photo. We did it at IWCC and they were so awesome to work with! Here is the funny photo from the group! I love doing this kind of work so if you know of any corporate groups needing some photo work done, please think of me! I also take really awesome headshots! Hint Hint....
