I am a photographer, writer, and editor in Council Bluffs, Iowa. My photography found its roots through travelling, which I have

had the great fortune to do throughout most of my life. In 2009, I began studying technique in an effort to become a better photographic storyteller. In January 2012, I began exhibiting my prints around Council Bluffs. My primary photographic interests include landscapes and floral portraits. Much of my print collection chronicles my travels throughout the United States, but most of my latest work portrays scenes in and around Council Bluffs. A couple of my favorite resources for checking the weather are the skycam feeds by KETV and WOWT. One of their cams showed a scene like this one at around 7 last night, so I headed to downtown Omaha to take a look for myself. This is a drone shot (and no, the drone is not the size of a small car or bathtub and was definitely not carrying aliens), 12-second exposure. The drone was within my VLOS, FAA authorization requested and granted, as always. Drone hysteria has me worried about my future ability to take shots like these.

There are a pair of ginkgo trees in front of an apartment building down the street from me, and I can't get enough of them. The residents are nice too. A few chatted with me while talking their dogs out for a walk. Glad I took my camera there this morning!
