I’ve heard it said by so many that being a photographer is just easy money. A side gig for those looking for some extra cash. It’s not really seen as an art to click a button and call it a day. But it is so much more than that. It is so much education, money, blood sweat and tears. You don’t just become successful overnight. It takes years of passion and dedication to the art.

Behind the scenes of being a photographer is anything but glamorous. But it is full of passion and love. A drive and heart that wants to tell stories and preserve them forever.

And even with all that said. I’m still just a girl, with her camera, chasing sunsets and a dream.

This week someone asked me what my favorite part of my business is… I mean talk about a loaded question!

Have you ever had someone ask you to pick between queso or guac? ( Like honestly, who could choose?! ) That is what this question felt like!

Here is one thing a lot of people don’t know about my business and that is, I have a signature offer that I am obsessed with! My signature offer is for MJ Hodges Photography brides who are looking for a photographer who want to bundle their engagement photos, Bridals and wedding day coverage. This was created for the bride who wants images that reflect their marriage! So, just like you can’t pick between queso and guac – I can’t pick my favorite aspect of being a wedding photographer. All I know is that I am obsessed with it all – the job, the photos, and the clients!
