Caps Ridge Trail - Mt Jefferson, NH
This is the main head wall area of the Caps Ridge Trail, one of the Terrifying 25 in New Hampshire. There are a few really good scrambles before this point, but I think this would be considered the toughest spot of the trail. This was a lot of fun and, like everything in the White Mountains, a great workout with epic views.

Canyons of the Ancients National Monument near Cortez, CO. Nov 2022

Our Air BNB rental (first picture) was built into the red rock that was partof the southern border of the monument acreage with a couple ropes and ladders provided to help give access to the park to residents and guests. This part of the monument was so far away from the popular tourist spots that we were by ourselves and only small footpaths had been created by locals to navigate. It was basically our back yard for a week and is one of the more magical experiences we've had.

Lake of the Clouds hike via Ammonoosuc Ravine July 2022. I've gone up to Mt Washington via Huntington Ravine and Tuckerman Ravine so we took the opportunity to check out Ammonoosuc on our way up to the hut. This trail was really fun to go up with light scrambling and so peaceful, hiking up and around the running water. The mist and fog really helped feel like we were at a lake in the clouds once we reached our destination.
